Yasser El-Gamal is the senior vice president of legal affairs and chief intellectual property counsel at Verve Therapeutics. He brings over 25 years of experience in advising technology companies on a broad spectrum of business and legal matters to his role. Prior to joining Verve, Yas was a member of top-rated national and international law firms, including Jones Day, Dickstein Shapiro LLP, and Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, where he served in various capacities, including as office partner-in-charge and chair and co-chair of several practices.
Yas holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, an M.S. in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University, and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School. He is admitted to practice in numerous federal and state courts and administrative agencies, and is a registered patent attorney.
