Lonnel Coats is an industry veteran, most recently serving as chief executive officer and director at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals. Prior to Lexicon, Lonnel held a series of executive leadership positions at Eisai Inc. and Eisai Corporation of North America, where he worked for 18 years. Previously, he spent eight years with Janssen Pharmaceuticals, where he held a variety of management and sales positions. He is also a director of Blueprint Medicines Corporation.

Lonnel holds a B.S. in Public Administration from Oakland University.
