Dr. Nia Tatsis joined Vertex Pharmaceuticals in 2017 and serves as the company’s executive vice president, chief regulatory and quality officer. Prior to joining Vertex, Nia held positions of increasing responsibility at pharmaceutical companies including Sanofi, Pfizer, and Wyeth. Most recently, she served as vice president, head of global regulatory affairs, of the Sanofi Genzyme Business Unit. Nia currently serves as a member of the leadership council of the International Institute of New England. Previously, she served as a staff scientist and research fellow in immunology and vaccine development at the Wistar Institute.
Nia received her Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology from the University of Vermont and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in immunology at Thomas Jefferson University. She holds a B.S. in biology from Temple University.
